VoteParty.ca is an initiative of the Democracy Education Network to encourage voter turnout in all elections across Canada.

Many election agencies across Canada have not had success increasing voter turnout in the past 20 years.

In the 2015 federal Canadian election, VoteParty.ca reached 3.5 million people, the most of any non-governmental voter turnout initiative, which helped increase voter turnout by 7%. In the 2018 Ontario provincial election, VoteParty.ca reached 700,000 people, the most of any non-governmental voter turnout initiative, which helped increase voter turnout also by 7%. In the 2021 federal election, VoteParty.ca reached more than 1.3 million people, the most of any non-governmental voter turnout initiative, which helped keep voter turnout at 62% even though it was a summer snap election during the COVID crisis.

By having each person who signs up to Make a Vote Date to take a non-voter to vote with them, VoteParty.ca will significantly increase voter turnout in all elections.
